Stay with us at the Becket Chimney Corners YMCA

Our weekend wedding retreat will take place at The Becket Chimney Corners YMCA, in lovely Becket, MA. You can get directions here.

We have reserved the entire weekend with the hope that all of our family and friends will stay together in this beautiful location. The Becket Chimney Corners YMCA is a 100 year old outdoor retreat center and residential summer camp. The campus sits on 1400 acres in the Berkshire Hills and encloses a 100 acre spring-fed pond. September is one of the best times to visit the Berkshires and we can hope for warm, sunny days at the lake and cool, misty evenings by the campfire. Becket offers hiking, swimming, boating, climbing, fishing, sports, four square, archery, a sauna, campfires, s'mores, and lots of other activities.

You may choose to stay in Frontier Village in rustic lake view cabins with modern community bathhouses, or in Gibson Hall, a charming 1917 dormitory style lodge with indoor facilities and electricity. The lodge may be more comfortable for older guests and guests with young children. We will do our best to accommodate your choice of lodging.

The rate to stay at the Becket Chimney Corners YMCA is $79 per person, per night, with all meals included. Children aged 3 and younger stay for free. You can let us know if you'd like to stay with us when you RSVP.

Is there a dress code for this wedding retreat? What should I bring along?

We think that the Becket Chimney Corners YMCA is a beautiful, restful retreat center and we hope that you'll think so too. We'll be in casual and comfortable clothing all weekend (think jeans, t-shirts), even on Friday and Saturday nights (think polos, sundresses). Please pack clothing that you can relax and play in.

We've also put together a a packing list for you to keep in mind.

All guests are invited to join us for dinner Friday and Saturday night.

All other meals are included if you choose to stay at the Becket Chimney Corners YMCA. We will be serving meals from Friday lunch through Sunday brunch. That includes breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and late evening snacks. Meals always include a fantastic salad bar, a breakfast bar, dessert for lunch and dinner meals, and a vegetarian option. All meals are served fresh in the Becket dining hall overlooking the lake.

If you choose to stay somewhere other than the Becket Chimney Corners YMCA, you may join us for other meals in the dining hall for a small cost per person. You can tell us which meals you would like to eat with us when you RSVP.

Alcohol Policy

We will provide beer and wine for reception festivities. However, there will be plenty of opportunities for additional happy hours (think cabins, around the camp fire, by the lake, etc). You should feel free to bring provisions if you think you might want them. For people flying in who don't feel like packing liquor in 3oz containers, you can stop at the Becket Country Store, 609 Main St, Becket, for beer and wine, or head to the nearby town of Lee for stronger beverages.

DOWN with cakes, UP with pies!

We loves us some pie! Rather than a wedding cake we're going to bring a bunch of tasty pies to share with you. If you live locally, we encourage you to bring a pie to share too. Be as creative as you want. The more pie, the better!
