As for the great outdoors, we'll have lots of that. Here's a cheat sheet of things you might consider bringing along:
- Comfortable shoes (ladies, this means you - you might regret heels!)
- Layers (the Berkshires have a dramatic way of changing the temperature on you)
- Flashlight (we'll provide lanterns for cabins without electricity, but you'll want your own flashlight to tote around)
- Bug spray
- Sun screen
- Bathing suit
- Raincoat/waterproof shoes
- PJs
- Water bottle
- Fishing rod if you plan to fish
- Toiletries
- Towel
- Sleeping bag or linens (including blanket and pillow) (we can provide linens for guests that are flying in from out of town and are unable to bring their own)
- Folding chairs for the beach and around the campfire (if you are able, please bring extras to share with out of town guests)
Is there a dress code for this wedding retreat? What should I bring along?
We think that the Becket Chimney Corners YMCA is a beautiful, restful retreat center and we hope that you'll think so too. We'll be in casual and comfortable clothing all weekend (think jeans, t-shirts), even on Friday and Saturday nights (think polos, sundresses). Please pack clothing that you can relax and play in.
